Job summary

WSP is seeking an Environmental Permitting, Compliance & Nuclear Regulation professional to support permit applications and regulatory assessments across UK energy, energy transition, waste, industrial and utilities sectors. You will develop Environmental Risk Assessments and BAT assessments, collaborate with senior colleagues, and contribute to projects that advance the UK's net-zero ambitions.

The team is based in Manchester with a presence across 30 UK offices.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Environmental Permitting Regulations and associated environmental legislation.
• Experience preparing Environmental Permit applications and supporting technical assessments.
• Knowledge of regulated sectors such as energy, waste, industrial, manufacturing or utilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Environmental Permit applications and support technical assessments.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Develop client relationships and provide effective regulatory guidance.
• Contribute to projects supporting the UK's transition to a low-carbon future.
