Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is expanding its Environmental Permitting, Compliance & Nuclear Regulation team. As a Principal Environmental Permitting Consultant, you will lead complex permitting and regulatory projects for a diverse client base across energy, waste, industrial and utilities sectors.

You will deliver permit applications, risk assessments, and management plans, supervising multidisciplinary teams across WSP.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in environmental permitting, compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven leadership of complex permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Strong client relationship management and business development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex permitting, compliance and regulatory projects across diverse client base.
• Oversee preparation of Environmental Permit applications and supporting reports.
• Provide technical leadership on major projects and mentor junior team members.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets and programmes with a proactive growth mindset.
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and support business development.
