Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Associate/Associate Director/Technical Director to lead environmental consents for major water and infrastructure projects in the UK. You will direct multi-disciplinary teams, oversee EIA inputs, and shape environmental strategy across the project lifecycle.

You will build client relationships, manage bids, recruitment, and delivery while promoting innovative techniques and sustainable design within a diverse consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental planning or related field required.
• Demonstrable experience delivering EIA for major water schemes.
• Familiarity with Habitats Regulations Assessments and SSSI Assents.
• Proven line management and team development experience.
• Evidence of driving business growth and client engagement.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental teams and inputs to project designs and assessments across multiple sectors.
• Direct recruitment, bidding, project delivery and financial management.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for cross-selling.
• Promote innovative environmental techniques and sustainable design.
• Represent the team at conferences and client meetings, supporting growth.
