Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead environmental elements of major water infrastructure projects in the UK. You will direct environmental teams, coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs, and drive delivery across lifecycle stages from bidding to project completion.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a track record in environmental design, assessment and management within large-scale schemes aligned to Net Zero goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading environmental assessments for major water schemes.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
• Strong report writing and communications skills.
• Heritage and environmental planning knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental teams and inputs to project designs and assessments.
• Direct recruitment, bidding, and project delivery activities.
• Manage budgets, schedules and quality on large-scale water infrastructure projects.
• Promote sustainable design and environmental enhancement across assignments.
