Job summary

WSP seeks an Associate/Associate Director/Technical Director to join our Environmental Consents team in the UK. You will lead multi-disciplinary environmental design and assessment efforts across energy projects, driving recruitment, bidding and delivery with a focus on the water sector.

We value proven leadership, a track record of business growth and strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, engineers and environmental specialists throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental planning or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering EIA for major water schemes.
• Familiarity with Habitats Regulations Assessments and SSSI consents.
• Proven line management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead environmental teams and inputs to project designs and assessments.
• Oversee recruitment, bidding, project team management, project delivery and financial management.
• Play a key role in expanding the water sector offering with sector leads and clients.
• Provide environmental advice and support to clients, project managers and colleagues.
• Lead development of innovative techniques (Digital EIA, Technical Excellence, etc.).
• Build client relationships and identify opportunities for resourcing, programming and cross-selling.
