Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a dynamic Section Engineer to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project based at the Redcar site in Cleveland.

You will carry out setting out, manage temporary works, and coordinate with subcontractors to deliver safe, quality civil works on a major infrastructure package. This role requires strong site engineering skills and proactive collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• HND in civil engineering or higher preferred.
• CSCS card required; SMSTS preferred, SSSTS minimum.
• Proven experience as a section/site engineer on major civil/highways projects.

Responsibilities

• Carry out complex setting out and determine optimum installation locations.
• Prepare and raise RAMS, ITPs and other technical docs.
• Produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Maintain quality records and project filing.
• Monitor KPI progress and contribute to weekly programme.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers and ensure site ethics and safety.
