Job summary

PSR Solutions is seeking a Senior Engineer for a high-profile infrastructure program based in Northampton. The role offers the chance to work across highways, earthworks, drainage and structures with a strong on-site focus.

You will provide on-site technical advisory, interpret construction drawings, supervise subcontractors and ensure proper setting out. Auto-CAD experience is advantageous for this position.

Qualifications

• Senior Engineer with highways, bridges, housing infrastructure, or rail experience preferred.
• Strong on-site technical advisory and supervision on construction projects.
• Ability to interpret and execute from construction drawings and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site Technical Advisor for Engineer, Subcontractors and Operatives.
• Ensure setting out procedures are in place and followed.
• Interpret and execute from construction drawings.
• Supervise subcontractors and keep accurate site records/diaries.
• Record ordering of plant and materials and manage work packages.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Car/Allowance + Package

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a keen Senior Engineer to work with a contractor who are expanding quickly following multiple project wins across the Midlands area. The Senior Engineer will have the option of working on several high-profile large-scale infrastructure projects in the region. The scope of works includes highways works, earthworks, groundworks, drainage and structures works.

Responsibilities of the Senior Engineer

• You will act as a Technical Advisor on-site for Engineer, Subcontractors, and other Operatives.
• Auto-CAD experience is advantageous.
• Ensuring that the setting out procedures for the project are in-place
• Interpret and execute from construction drawings
• Supervise subcontractors
• Keep accurate site records and site diaries
• Record ordering of plant and materials
• Supervise and direct subcontractors
• Produce permits, risk assessments, method statements, work package plans and task briefings
