Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Senior Engineer to deliver civil engineering projects in the South West, starting with Crewkerne and Glastonbury. You will work on water and wastewater schemes within a major framework for 5+ years, with the option of a permanent role or a long-term contract for locally based candidates.

The role emphasizes setting out, quality control, health and safety, and effective collaboration with the site team to meet design specs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Setting out roads, structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.

Job description

My client is a long established, leading Civil Engineering Contractor. Due to planned growth and an influx of work in their Southwestern Region, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis or a long term contract basis (12 months+) a Senior Engineer to work on projects in the Southwest and initially on two projects in Crewkerne and Glastonbury. Initially, you will be working on civil engineering projects predominantly in the water and wastewater sectors as part of a major framework for the next 5+ years. My client would prefer someone on a permanent basis but would consider someone residing locally who would be seeking a long term contract.
