Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer for a 16-month contract on large industrial, logistics or commercial construction projects in the Bridgwater area. The role requires setting out, site leadership, and coordination with subcontractors to ensure adherence to drawings, specs and programme milestones.

Candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, be proficient with Leica or Trimble surveying equipment, and hold a valid CSCS card.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site engineering activities, including setting out and technical support.
• Review and coordinate drawings, specifications and design information.
• Oversee quality assurance procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and temporary works.
• Produce and maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
• Monitor quality standards across all engineering activities.
• Support the Site and Project Management team with technical expertise.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors and resolve technical issues on site.

My client is a leading contractor in the Steel frame and Groundworks sector. We are currently recruiting a Senior Engineer to complete an 16 month contract.

• Senior Engineer with experience on large industrial, logistics or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, steel frame and external works.
• Experience managing QA procedures and ITPs.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Proficient with Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
