Job summary

PSR Solutions in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a contractor expanding after multiple project wins in the Cambridgeshire area. The role focuses on highways, earthworks, drainage, and structures on large-scale infrastructure schemes.

You'll act as on-site Technical Advisor, supervise subcontractors, interpret drawings, and ensure setting-out procedures are in place while maintaining accurate site records and diaries.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site technical advisor for engineers, subcontractors and operatives.
• Ensure setting-out procedures are in place and interpret construction drawings.
• Supervise subcontractors and keep accurate site records.
• Produce permits, risk assessments, method statements and task briefings.
• Record ordering of plant and materials.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a keen Senior Engineer to work with a contractor who are expanding quickly following multiple project wins across the Cambridgeshire area. The Senior Engineer will have the option of working on several high-profile large-scale infrastructure projects in the region. The scope of works includes highways works, earthworks, groundworks, drainage and structures works.

Responsibilities of the Senior Engineer

• You will act as a Technical Advisor on-site for Engineer, Subcontractors, and other Operatives.
• Auto-CAD experience is advantageous.
• Ensuring that the setting out procedures for the project are in-place
• Interpret and execute from construction drawings
• Supervise subcontractors
• Keep accurate site records and site diaries
• Record ordering of plant and materials
• Supervise and direct subcontractors
