Job summary

Sword Group is seeking a Senior Workplace Engineer to own complex workplace services across managed environments. You will lead device provisioning, M365 administration, and endpoint management, while coaching junior engineers and driving improvements in standards and runbooks.

The role covers End User Compute, identity integration, and hybrid meeting-room technologies, with emphasis on incident resolution and knowledge sharing within customer-facing managed services.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in workplace engineering, endpoint support, Microsoft 365 administration, managed workplace services or enterprise IT operations.
• Relevant technical certifications in Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, identity and access, Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, Apple device management, Jamf, MDM or MAM are desirable.
• ITIL Foundation or related security training would be valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate device provisioning and lifecycle activity, including device builds and Autopilot deployment.
• Administer and improve Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams and Zoom.
• Configure and maintain endpoint compliance policies and deployment updates.
• Diagnose and resolve secure email issues including anti-phishing controls and spam filtering.
• Lead hybrid meeting-room services, including Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.
• Investigate recurring service problems and create runbooks and knowledge articles.
• Use monitoring data to identify deployment failures and service risks.
• Coach junior engineers and communicate clearly during incidents and deployments.
