Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team in Manchester. You will manage a varied ER caseload from start to finish, advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance matters, and leading workplace investigations where required.

Qualifications

• Strong, recent Employee Relations case management experience.
• Experience independently managing a busy ER caseload.
• Hands-on experience of disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance cases.
• Experience supporting or conducting workplace investigations.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Ability to take ownership of cases with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied Employee Relations caseload from start to finish.
• Advise managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance matters.
• Support and lead workplace investigations, formal hearings and appeals.
• Provide practical advice on employment law, HR policies and ER best practice.
• Coach managers through difficult and sensitive employee situations.
• Review cases and recommend appropriate next steps and outcomes.
• Ensure accurate documentation and procedural compliance throughout formal processes.
• Support organisational change and consultation processes.
• Identify themes and trends across ER cases to support improvements.
• Build strong working relationships with managers and stakeholders across the organisation.
