Job summary

Rapiscan, an OSI Systems, Inc. company, seeks a Senior Electronics Technician to bring electronic designs to life across our scanning systems.

You will collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams through concept, prototyping, production and continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on PCB design, prototyping, testing and documentation, with experience in soldering, PCB software (Altium) and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Essentials: BTEC Level 3 / HNC/HND in Electronic/Electrical Engineering
• Strong soldering and cable assembly experience
• Experience with test equipment
• Experience with PCB software (Altium)

Responsibilities

• Design & prototyping: Build and validate electronic prototypes
• Create PCB layouts from schematics
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers
• Develop 3D-printed components where required
• Testing & validation: Develop and execute test plans
• Use equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Documentation & support: Produce CAD drawings and BOMs
• Support production, commissioning, and field service
• Contribute to product improvements
• Lab & infrastructure: Maintain the electronics lab and test equipment
• Manage component libraries and PCB data
