Electronics Test Engineer – Prototyping & Lab Testing

Job summary

AVD Appoint is recruiting an Electronics Test Engineer for a Berkshire-based engineering organisation. You will work in the lab, assembling prototypes, running tests and documenting results.

You will handle soldering, PCB rework and harness preparation, and operate 3D printers and the EMC test chamber as part of the testing workflow. The role requires practical hands-on experience with test equipment and a track record of testing and debugging designs.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electronics Test Engineer, Electronics Technician, Electronics Engineer, Prototype Engineer, Electronics Lab Technician, Bench Technician or similar
• Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, signal generators and/or logic analysers
• Experience of taking a design and being able to test and debug it

Responsibilities

• All laboratory work supporting engineers designing and developing products
• Hands-on assembly of prototypes and conducting tests with data and documentation
• Involvement in soldering, PCB rework and preparing harnesses; operating 3D printers and the EMC test chamber
