Job summary

AVD Appoint is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer for a permanent position in Berkshire. You will be hands-on in the lab, assembling prototypes, conducting tests and generating data-driven reports. The role involves soldering, PCB rework, harness preparation, and operating 3D printers and the EMC test chamber.

Candidates should have lab-based electronics testing experience, familiarity with test instrumentation, and ideally PCB design knowledge via Altium. An SC clearance is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electronics Test Engineer or similar in a laboratory environment.
• Experience with soldering, PCB testing and harness preparation.
• SC security clearance or eligible for clearance.
• PCB design and schematic capture, ideally using Altium.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers in labs by assembling prototypes, conducting tests and documenting results with data.
• Perform soldering, PCB rework and harness preparation as part of test activities.
• Operate 3D printers and EMC test chamber as part of product testing.
• Maintain lab safety and documentation to ensure traceability of test results.
