Job summary

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Senior Electronics Technician to bring electronic designs to life across our scanning systems.

You will work with engineers and cross-functional teams to support the full product lifecycle—from concept and prototyping through to production and continuous improvement. You will design and prototype electronics, develop test plans, create CAD drawings and BOMs, and maintain the electronics lab while collaborating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• BTEC Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
• Strong soldering and cable assembly experience.
• Experience with test equipment.
• Experience with PCB software such as Altium.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype electronic systems and PCB layouts.
• Develop and execute test plans using lab equipment.
• Create CAD drawings and BOMs; support production and field service.
• Maintain electronics lab and manage component libraries.
