Job summary
Hoare Lea is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Glasgow or Edinburgh team. You will lead design delivery on complex projects and coordinate with the project team to ensure high-quality electrical solutions.
Based in Scotland, you will liaise with clients, contractors and architects, guiding the electrical discipline from inception to completion while supporting knowledge transfer and mentoring within the team. Hybrid working is available.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Electrical Engineer or similar on complex projects.
- Experience with BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
- Experience liaising with clients/contractors/architects in a design consultancy.
- Self-aware and collaborative with mentoring mindset.
- Support others to share knowledge and develop skills.
Responsibilities
- Take briefs and deliver projects from inception to completion.
- Own small projects or the electrical discipline on larger schemes.
- Produce design calculations, drawings and documentation.
- Report progress and deliverables to line management.
- Communicate design information clearly to stakeholders.
- Delegate, manage and check work of others.
- Coordinate design with other disciplines and professionals.
- Present at design, client and project meetings.
