Job summary

Hoare Lea seeks an Associate or Senior Associate Electrical Engineer in the Glasgow or Edinburgh offices. You will deliver high‑quality electrical design across multiple built environment projects, lead client relationships, and work within a collaborative team.

You can expect hybrid working from Glasgow or Edinburgh, with opportunities to contribute to projects across Scotland and the UK. Chartered status is preferred for Senior Associate, with ongoing professional development supported.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status for Senior Associate; Associate working towards is acceptable.
• Extensive project and client leadership experience with electrical building services.
• Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and design guides.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships and deliver technically excellent electrical designs.
• Coordinate project teams, manage workloads and budgets, and ensure quality.
• Lead larger multi-discipline schemes (Senior Associate) and contribute to bid activity.
• Mentor staff and share knowledge across the firm.
