Job summary
Aldwych Consulting Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services team. You will lead site appraisals, assess existing installations and support design development across projects, interfacing with clients, contractors and the design team.
This high-autonomy role offers a £50,000-£58,000 salary plus car allowance, hybrid working, and a range of benefits.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services and coordination across disciplines.
- Experience undertaking site surveys, technical assessments and construction-stage inspections.
- Ability to assess existing installations and propose practical engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical site appraisals and feasibility assessments.
- Assess existing electrical installations and infrastructure.
- Gather technical information to support design development.
- Produce site reports, sketches and technical briefings.
- Act as the electrical lead in client and design meetings.
- Provide electrical engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and review during construction.
- Conduct periodic site inspections and provide recommendations.
- Support projects from appraisal through handover.
