Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Leeds is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary Building Services team. Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering electrical building services designs from concept to completion.
• Knowledge of RIBA work stages and guidance (BSRIA BG6).
• Proficiency with electrical design calculations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce reports, specifications, calculations and detailed electrical designs as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
• Develop electrical building services solutions using CAD and BIM software, including Revit where applicable.
• Undertake electrical design calculations and ensure designs meet client requirements and standards.
• Carry out site surveys, inspections, defect assessments and witness testing as required.
• Review construction design information and provide technical feedback.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions throughout design and construction.
• Ensure designs comply with current legislation and health and safety requirements.
• Advise clients on energy efficiency, sustainability and carbon reduction strategies.
