Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join its Surrey multidisciplinary team. You will deliver electrical designs across commercial and residential projects, from concept to construction, with emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainable buildings.

You will work with senior engineers and other disciplines, progressing toward Chartered status while coordinating with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in a building services consultancy or similar environment.
• Practical experience producing electrical building services designs.
• Familiarity with UK standards, regulations and guidance.
• Experience with design calculations and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical designs and calculations from concept to detailed design.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, schedules and technical reports.
• Work on electrical services including power, lighting, data and small power.
• Support energy-efficient and low-carbon electrical solutions.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines and attend meetings.
• Engage with clients, contractors and project teams.
• Assist construction phase including site inspections and queries.
• Ensure designs comply with legislation, standards and guidance.
• Contribute to design processes and QA/technical reviews.
