Job summary

AECOM is hiring a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to deliver cutting-edge designs for energy storage, solar and grid connection projects in the UK and Europe. This role focuses on renewables and energy storage, particularly BESS, with opportunities to influence large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience as FEED designer, detailed design or owner’s engineer role.
• Knowledge of renewable generation and energy storage tech, esp. battery storage.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and design for planning/feasibility studies of energy storage systems including grid connections, control and metering.
• Design the BESS balance of plant (BOP) systems.
• Develop grid connection solutions (11kV–400kV) for energy storage and renewables.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions.
• Support the team with bidding, project and quality management.
