Job summary
AECOM seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to deliver cutting-edge designs for energy storage, solar and grid connections. You’ll work on large BESS projects in the UK and Europe, shaping the future of energy infrastructure with a team of engineers, scientists and digital specialists.
Role focuses on 11kV–400kV systems, feasibility, FEED, detailed design and design assurance for renewables and BESS. Hybrid working and career development opportunities are offered.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in FEED/design/owner’s engineer roles for energy storage.
- Knowledge of grid connection requirements for renewables and storage.
Responsibilities
- Lead FEED and detailed design for energy storage and grid connection projects.
- Design BESS balance of plant (BOP) and associated systems.
- Develop grid connection solutions across 11kV–400kV for energy storage.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions.
- Support bidding, project and quality management processes.
- Engage in design reviews and provide technical leadership on projects.
- Work on large UK/Ireland and global renewable energy projects.
