Job summary

Northcote M&E is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to take ownership of electrical design from concept to completion on a range of building services projects. The role offers leadership of small teams, design of lighting, power, LV distribution, fire alarm and security systems, and direct client liaison.

The position is based near Buckinghamshire with a pathway to progression to senior levels, including an option for full remote work for a central London candidate.

Qualifications

• 6+ years UK building services consultancy design experience.
• Confident using Amtech or ProDesign.
• Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 and CIBSE guidance.
• IEng or CEng, or working towards it, is an advantage.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services Consultancy

£55,000 - £60,000 + car allowance + professional fees paid

Northcote M&E is working with a well-established building services consultancy in Buckinghamshire that is growing its electrical team. They are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who wants ownership of projects and a clear route to progression.

The role is based at their office near High Wycombe and Aylesbury. For the right candidate based in central London, the role can be fully remote.

The role

• Lead electrical design from concept through to completion
• Design small power, lighting, containment, LV distribution, fire alarm and security systems
• Work on a mix of commercial, education, residential and public sector projects
• Produce calculations, specifications and drawings
• Mentor and support junior engineers
• Deal directly with clients, architects and contractors

About you

• 6+ years' UK building services consultancy design experience
• Confident using Amtech or ProDesign, and DIALux or Relux
• Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 and CIBSE guidance
• IEng or CEng, or working towards it, is an advantage
• A stable career history
• Full right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
