Beeby Anderson Recruitment is working with a respected building services consultancy in North Kent seeking a Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to lead electrical design across projects and mentor the team.

You will deliver drawings, calculations and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit, coordinate with disciplines, engage with clients and manage design programs to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering required.
• ACIBSE membership or equivalent professional standing preferred.
• At least 8 years' experience in electrical building services design, or substantial residential electrical design and site experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience leading engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems, design calculations and UK standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and British Standards.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design information.
• Strong project management, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver accurate technical information within timescales.
• Confident liaising with clients, contractors and other construction professionals.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.

Responsabilités

• Lead the electrical design and coordination of building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Produce and review electrical drawings, schematics, specifications and engineering calculations.
• Develop electrical building services designs using AutoCAD and Revit in accordance with UK regulations and industry standards.
• Design and coordinate electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms and associated building services installations.
• Review technical submissions and design documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance and quality.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Manage design programmes, technical deliverables and engineering resources to meet project deadlines and budgets.
• Attend client meetings, technical workshops and design reviews, providing specialist electrical engineering advice.
• Respond to contractor queries, RFIs and technical submissions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to junior engineers and technicians.
• Assist with the management and development of the electrical engineering team.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and project delivery.

We are working with an established and highly regarded building services engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join its team in North Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Electrical Design Engineer to take on a senior technical position, delivering electrical building services designs across a range of projects while supporting and mentoring other members of the engineering team.

The successful candidate will combine hands-on electrical design expertise with project coordination, technical leadership and client engagement, helping to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Building Services Design Engineer with strong technical capabilities and a proven track record of delivering engineering projects.

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Associate membership of CIBSE (ACIBSE) or equivalent professional standing.
• At least 8 years' experience in electrical building services design, or a combination of substantial residential electrical design and site experience.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience leading engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems, design calculations and relevant UK standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and applicable electrical engineering guidance.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design information.
• Strong project management, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver accurate technical information within agreed timescales.
• Confidence liaising with clients, contractors and other construction professionals.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for occasional site visits.
