Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Electrical Building Services Design Engineer in London to join a growing MEP consultancy. You will lead electrical design for high-profile projects, delivering energy-efficient, compliant designs across commercial, residential and education sectors.

You should have a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, 3–6 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ElectricalOM and Dialux.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in electrical building services design in an MEP consultancy.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ElectricalOM and Dialux.
• Excellent knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations, and CIBSE guides.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for a variety of building services projects from concept to completion.
• Develop detailed designs using AutoCAD, Revit, ElectricalOM and Dialux.
• Oversee the production of technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
• Attend client meetings and represent the consultancy professionally.
• Contribute to sustainability-focused designs and low-energy solutions.
