Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience designing complex electrical or electro‑mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of product development and engineering change processes.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly principles.
- Experience with electrical schematics and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Electrical design and development of product enhancements and engineering upgrades.

- Managing component obsolescence and alternative sourcing solutions.
- Producing electrical schematics, drawings and engineering documentation.
- Verification and validation of designs through calculation and testing.

A Global Engineering Manufacturer is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Clevedon.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on complex electrical and electro–mechanical products within a highly regulated engineering environment.
Working within an established engineering team, you will play a key role in supporting existing products throughout their lifecycle, delivering design improvements, engineering upgrades, obsolescence solutions and product enhancements that improve reliability, manufacturability and long–term customer value.
This role offers genuine involvement across the full product lifecycle, providing exposure to product development, design modifications, continuous improvement and advanced manufacturing technologies.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the ongoing design, development and improvement of complex electrical systems and sub–assemblies, ensuring products continue to meet performance, quality and compliance requirements throughout their operational life.
Working closely with manufacturing, service, suppliers and project teams, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective and commercially viable engineering solutions.
- Electrical design and development of product enhancements and engineering upgrades
- Supporting design modifications, lifecycle management and continuous improvement activities
- Managing component obsolescence and alternative sourcing solutions
- Producing electrical schematics, drawings and engineering documentation

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to deliver engineering solutions to agreed project milestones and timescales

- Salary up to 53,000
