Job summary

Progressive Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a global engineering manufacturer in Clevedon. You will design electrical systems and sub-assemblies, produce schematics and CAD documentation, and support projects from concept to manufacture.

Working within a regulated environment, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement while delivering high‑quality engineering solutions and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing electrical systems, schematics and cable assemblies.
• Experience using Electrical CAD packages such as AutoCAD Electrical.
• Understanding of electrical design principles and engineering documentation.
• Experience creating Bills of Materials and supporting technical documentation.
• Ability to work within project timescales and deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

A Global Engineering Manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Clevedon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer looking to further develop their career within a highly regulated engineering environment, working on complex electrical and electro–mechanical products.

Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will support the design, development and maintenance of innovative products, creating electrical designs and documentation whilst contributing to projects from concept through to manufacture and deployment.

This role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle, providing the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on technically challenging projects within a world–class engineering and manufacturing environment.

The Electrical Design Engineer Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the design and development of electrical systems, sub–assemblies and product improvements while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.

You will be responsible for producing high–quality designs and technical documentation, ensuring products meet specification, quality and project requirements.

What We're Looking For
