Job summary

Progressive Global Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to design and improve complex electrical/electro-mechanical systems at its Clevedon site. You will work across lifecycle stages, coordinating with manufacturing, service and suppliers to deliver reliable, compliant solutions.

The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary up to £53,000 plus bonus and benefits, and opportunities to influence advanced engineering projects in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience designing complex electrical or electro-mechanical systems.
Knowledge of product development and engineering change processes.
Understanding of Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly principles.
Experience producing electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Electrical design and development of product enhancements and engineering upgrades.
Managing lifecycle and obsolescence strategies.
Producing electrical schematics, drawings and documentation.
Verifying designs via calculations and tests.
Supporting DFM and DFA initiatives.
