Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the Transmission & Distribution team in Leeds. You will work on MV/LV design, intake/distribution substation layouts, protection and control, and SCADA interfaces across energy and renewables projects.

You will deliver practical electrical design solutions through the project lifecycle, liaise with external parties, and support with procurement and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and knowledge of British DNO standards.
• Proven track record in trainee/assistant electrical design within energy/power.
• Strong understanding of Power Systems characteristics and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MV and LV design to DNO standards.
• Provide feeder network and substation layout design for MV/LV.
• Produce protection, control schemes and wiring diagrams.
• Perform cable sizing, routing, and termination drawings.
• Collaborate with suppliers and clients on designs.
