Job summary

Carrington West is looking for an EICA Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer - Water to support electrical design and delivery across Water projects in Manchester. The role blends design and on-site delivery, requiring oversight of electrical installations and coordination with site teams to ensure compliance with drawings and standards.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in a project engineer role with EICA bias, good communication skills, and a track record of managing

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background with experience in project engineering for water/utilities sectors.
• Experience across design and delivery, including on-site coordination with construction teams.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support design, coordination and delivery of electrical works across Water projects.
• Review and develop electrical designs, specifications and technical documents.
• Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, designers and wider project team.
• Provide technical input during design and construction stages.
• Ensure electrical installations meet drawings, specs and standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during delivery.
• Coordinate design changes and communicate to site teams.
• Assist with procurement and selection of electrical equipment and subcontractors.
• Monitor quality, programme and progress of electrical works on site.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Ensure works are delivered safely per client and company requirements.
