Job summary

Full Circle Technical Recruitment is recruiting an EICA Project Engineer for a leading water/wastewater infrastructure contractor in the North West. Hybrid working available; role based across Wigan and Manchester with responsibilities from design through handover.

You will coordinate EICA design, procurement and delivery, liaise with design teams and subcontractors, monitor costs and programmes, and support the Project Manager across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technical qualification to at least HNC level or above.
• Previous project engineering experience in engineering/construction/infrastructure.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Experience with EICA / electrical, instrumentation, control and automation packages.
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience in procurement, supplier management and expediting.
• Understanding of project budgets, cost control, forecasting and variations.
• Experience coordinating engineering design with construction and commissioning.
• Good CDM and Health & Safety knowledge.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative, organized and solutions-focused.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EICA design and procurement to support the project programme.
• Work with design teams to ensure quality technical solutions and timely information.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and site management on design, procurement and delivery.
• Expedite the supply chain to meet programme requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and manage suppliers.
• Assist with development and monitoring of project programmes and progress information.
• Support Project Manager with delivery strategy, commercial performance and cost control.
• Monitor expenditure against tender and variation allowances.
• Provide cost information for forecasts and variation evaluations.
• Contribute to monthly risk and opportunity reviews.
• Support contract reviews, forecasts and applications for payment.
• Operate within NEC contracts and governance processes.
• Ensure designs consider safe construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance.
• Assist with completion, takeover and O&M documentation.

Education

HNC level or above in engineering
