Job summary

Cloudflare’s Argo team builds and maintains essential network software infrastructure to improve reliability for our CDN, Spectrum, and edge services. You’ll collaborate across engineering teams to translate requirements into platform capabilities and contribute to production deployments.

The role emphasizes systems programming in Go/Rust, Linux networking, and distributed systems, with strong teamwork and an emphasis on secure, scalable edge solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in network performance monitoring and tuning.
• Experience participating in an on-call rotation.
• Solid grasp of OSI Layers 3 and 4 networking.
• Knowledge of HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own design and development of network software infrastructure.
• Translate engineering requirements into platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering and SRE to optimize edge usage.
• Participate in all stages of the SDLC from design to deployment.
