Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the CDN Configuration team. You will contribute to the end-to-end configuration ecosystem across our edge platform, enabling customers to modify traffic routing with confidence and safety while collaborating with cross-functional groups to fortify global infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include designing services for prototype execution, evaluation, and discard of tailored traffic rules, and ensuring robust deployment,

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in computer science concepts and data structures.
• Experience with building large distributed systems in production environments.
• Proficiency in Rust and/or Go, with a focus on reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Architect services to enable safe, scalable traffic rule configuration across edge platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align deployments and infrastructure improvements.
• Drive observability, deployment, and rollback strategies for production systems.
• Contribute to security best practices and resilient network configurations.
