Job summary

Storal Learning Ltd. in Shepshed is seeking a Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Leader) to lead a room, safeguard children, and drive play-based learning. You will supervise staff, enhance learning environments and ensure routines are well managed.

The role requires Level 3+ in Early Years, EYFS knowledge, and strong communication with children and adults. A warm, nurturing setting and opportunities for professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or higher in Early Years.
• Proven experience as Early Years Educator.
• Knowledge of the EYFS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to children daily and supervise the room team.
• Identify improvements in learning activities and environments.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and conduct team appraisals.

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £13.75 dependent on experience and qualification

Early Years Educators are you ready for a Senior role?

You’ll be joining Children 1st Shepshed Nursery as a key part of every child’s journey, keeping our children safe, loved and inspired through play-based learning.

Our nurseries are warm and nurturing environments that not only support children to be ready for school but also equip them with all the life skills they need to flourish and succeed.

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

Day to day, you will deliver care to the children whilst also supervising your team.

You’ll identify areas for improvements whether that relates to learning and teaching techniques or creating more stimulating experiences and environments. You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your room are met.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring all record keeping requirements are regularly completed, as well as conducting your team appraisals. As the Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Leader) you will work in partnership with other Room Leads and the management team to ensure the successful running of the nursery.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

• A Level 3 or above qualification within early years
• Proven experience working as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner)
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
