Job summary

Willow Tree Nursery in Clacton is seeking a Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Leader) to lead daily care for children and supervise the room team, ensuring safety and engaging, play-based learning.

You will work in a warm, nurturing setting aligned with the EYFS, manage record keeping and appraisals, and partner with management to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and supports every child’s development.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 or above qualification in early years.
• Proven experience as an Early Years Educator.
• Knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to children while supervising your team.
• Identify improvements in learning, teaching and environment.
• Ensure record keeping and conduct team appraisals.
• Collaborate with room leads and management for smooth nursery operation.

Salary: Up to £28,600 annual salary (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Early Years Educators are you ready for a Senior role?

You’ll be joining Willow Tree Nursery as a key part of every child’s journey, keeping our children safe, loved and inspired through play-based learning.

Our nurseries are warm and nurturing environments that not only support children to be ready for school, but also equip them with all the life skills they need to flourish and succeed

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

Day to day, you will deliver care to the children whilst also supervising your team.

You’ll identify areas for improvements whether that relates to learning and teaching techniques or creating more stimulating experiences and environments. You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your room are met.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring all record keeping requirements are regularly completed, as well as conducting your team appraisals. As the Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Leader) you will work in partnership with other Room Leads and the management team to ensure the successful running of the nursery.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

• A Level 3 or above qualification within early years
• Proven experience working as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner)
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
