Job summary

Storal is hiring for a Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Lead) at Children 1st Shepshed Nursery to guide a dedicated team in a warm, play-based learning environment. You will ensure safeguarding, supervision, and effective learning experiences for children.

You will supervise staff, maintain records, and partner with management to drive nursery success while upholding Storal values around responsibility and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or higher qualification in early years (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and its application in daily practice.
• Proven experience as an Early Years Educator/Nursery Practitioner with leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to children in a nursery setting.
• Supervise and support the room team to deliver learning through play.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and conduct team appraisals.
• Collaborate with management to ensure safe, engaging, and compliant nursery operations.

Hours:Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £13.75 dependent on experience and qualification

You’ll be joining Children 1st Shepshed Nursery as a key part of every child’s journey, keeping our children safe, loved and inspired through play-based learning.

How you’ll spend your time here

Day to day, you willdeliver care to the children whilst alsosupervising your team.

You’ll identify areas for improvements whether that relates tolearning and teaching techniques orcreating morestimulatingexperiences and environments. You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your room are met.

You’ll beresponsible for ensuring all record keeping requirements are regularly completed, as well as conducting your team appraisals. As the Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Lead) you will work in partnership with other Room Leads and the management team to ensure the successful running of the nursery.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

• A Level 3 or above qualification within early years
• Proven experience working as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner)
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
• Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together
