Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to join the national Surface Water Management team, delivering drainage design packages on multi-disciplinary projects and mentoring junior engineers.

You will apply AutoCAD and hydraulic modelling tools, ensure CDM compliance, and manage schemes to time and budget while developing client relationships and contributing to sustainable, digital design processes.

Qualifications

• Chartered status with ICE or CIWEM is required.
• Experience in drainage design including SUDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems).
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and safety/environmental requirements.
• Proven track record delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget.
• First class written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in developing innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

• Produce drainage infrastructure design packages.
• Assist drainage engineers on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Manage projects and design delivery within time and budget.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations on SUDS expertise to clients.
• Prepare financial and technical proposals for opportunities.
• Supervise and develop junior team members.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and site teams.
