Role Overview:

As a senior leader, you will drive the strategy and execution of data center development across site acquisition, design, delivery, and commercial management. This role is critical to scaling the data center footprint across the UK and Europe.

We are looking for an executive-level partner who can challenge existing models and drive transformation across all functions, from site selection to commissioning. Full lifecycle exposure on data center projects is essential, from site identification and permitting through to final handover. This end-to-end perspective enables proactive risk identification, shapes upstream decisions, and drives true ownership of outcomes across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery & Execution - Lead construction projects regionally, ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. Implement robust governance and innovative construction methods, prioritizing safety and operational readiness.
• Site Acquisition & Development - Drive aggressive site acquisition strategies aligned with growth targets. Oversee due diligence, permitting, and securing power contracts. Build strong stakeholder relationships to support scalable and sustainable developments.
• Design Leadership - Shape standardized, modular design frameworks that balance cost efficiency with future-proofing and ESG principles. Collaborate cross-functionally to meet evolving client and market demands.
• Commercial Management - Lead procurement and contract negotiations to optimize costs and timelines. Manage budgets, claims, and supply chain strategy with a focus on cost-effective delivery models.
• Strategic Leadership - Provide visionary leadership across functions to align with strategic goals, capital planning, and investor expectations. Represent construction at board and investor levels and build a continent-wide high-performance team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven track record in leading large-scale, multi-region data center or critical infrastructure projects with full lifecycle involvement, from site identification and permitting to final handover.
• Experienced with campus construction delivery.
• Strong knowledge of European construction standards and permitting.
• Financially savvy with experience collaborating with investment and private equity teams.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
