Job summary

E-Space is seeking a talented Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer to join our hardware team. You will own designs from concept through production, focusing on high-performance digital hardware and seamless HW/SW integration.

Responsibilities include RTL design/verification, FPGA/ASIC targets, and robust design for harsh environments, with collaboration across firmware, software, and systems. Altium Designer expertise and lab verification are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic/Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Solid understanding of clocking, CDC, and timing constraints.
• Experience with FPGA design flows and RTL verification.
• Familiarity with high-speed PCB design and signal integrity.
• Experience writing and executing hardware test plans and debugging.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement digital hardware including high-speed interfaces and routing.
• Develop, simulate, and verify RTL designs with timing closure.
• Define hardware architectures and contribute to system-level trade-offs.
• Produce and review design documentation and test plans.
• Perform functional simulation, static timing analysis, and synthesis for FPGAs/ASICs.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and systems engineers for HW/SW integration.
• Support hardware bring-up, validation, and debugging in the lab.
• Participate in design reviews and process improvements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to enable high-volume production.
• Work with component manufacturers to ensure longevity of supply.
• Experience with Altium Designer for schematics/layout.
• Design for operation in harsh environments.
