Zusammenfassung

MDA Space is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join its UK team. You will work within a multi-disciplinary group to design, analyze, and validate high-reliability satellite hardware, including FPGA/ASIC payloads, power and RF subsystems.

You will lead complex hardware development programs, manage manufacturing activities, and mentor the team while ensuring compliance with space-grade standards and schedules.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of hardware product design experience in space or high reliability sectors.
• Experience in designing and manufacturing complex, multi-layer (10+) HDI PCBs for high reliability applications.
• Knowledge of power supply design and layout techniques.
• Knowledge of high speed digital design and Serdes interconnects.

Aufgaben

• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers developing FPGA/ASIC based satellite telecommunication payloads for a variety of orbits
• Management of complex Hardware development and manufacturing activities
• Responsible throughout the Hardware product development lifecycle for the specification, design and testing
• Detailed circuit design including schematic capture, component selection and electronic simulation
• Engineering analysis and documentation (Derating, Worst Case, Reliability, Radiation, EMI/EMC Analysis, FMECA, Power Budget)
• Supporting Hardware/Software/System integration, test, validation and qualification
• Directing in-house and 3rd party PCB layout design teams
• Deliver prototype and product quality manufacturing packages
• Playing an active role in the leadership of the team
