Job summary

Snappy Shopper is hiring a Senior DevOps and Systems Engineer to maintain and evolve the infrastructure behind our UK platform. You will work across AWS, Linux, networking, CDN and WAF, using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD to deliver resilient, automated systems.

You will troubleshoot production incidents, optimize monitoring and observability, and contribute to faster, safer releases. The role is remote with occasional office visits in the UK, offering growth opportunities and a competitive

Qualifications

• Solid DevOps/Platform Engineering background with cloud infrastructure experience.
• Experience with AWS and Terraform; Linux prod environments.
• Strong troubleshooting of production issues across systems, networking and apps.
• Experience with nginx, Redis and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise our AWS estate and underlying Linux infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across systems, networking and applications.
• Maintain and optimise nginx, Redis and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
• Maintain IaC using Terraform and configuration management where applicable (e.g., Ansible).
• Write and tune WAF rules across CDN providers.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor platform health with monitoring tools and alerts.
• Investigate incidents and drive root-cause fixes.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Python and Bash.
