Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a senior DevOps leader to guide cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and automation while remaining hands-on. You will shape our DevOps practice, drive standards for secure, scalable production systems, and work across UK and Pune teams.

You will design, implement and optimize infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response, ensuring reliable, observable platforms in production. This role combines technical depth with broad leadership.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in AWS or Azure with production experience.
• Terraform module catalogues, remote state and multi-account support through controlled changes.
• Kubernetes production experience with Helm and GitOps; Argo CD preferred.
• Design CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps controls: secrets detection, SBOM, scanning.
• Proficient in Python or Bash; strong observability and incident response knowledge.
• Mentor engineers and communicate risks to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS and Azure infrastructure with security, reliability, scalability, cost and governance.
• Write and maintain Terraform modules, manage state/environments, document changes.
• Manage CircleCI pipelines with security checks, SBOM generation and supply‑chain controls.
• Operate production Kubernetes with Argo CD, Helm, and container tooling for deployment and maintenance.
• Improve metrics, logs, dashboards and alerts; lead incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning, backups, and resiliency implementations.
• Mentor engineers via pairing and code reviews; share knowledge across teams.
• Bridge engineering, security, product, and business decisions with practical leadership.
