Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a senior DevOps leader to guide cloud infrastructure, platform engineering and automation across UK capabilities. You will remain hands-on while steering architecture, reliability and cost optimization.

You will mentor engineers, build scalable pipelines and ensure production readiness from design through to implementation, with a strong focus on security and governance.

Qualifications

• Role requires hands-on production cloud infrastructure experience with AWS or Azure.
• Experience building reusable Terraform modules and managing remote state across environments.
• Proficient in designing CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps controls (secrets, SBOM, scanning).
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash and solid observability/incident response skills.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS/Azure infrastructure standards for security, reliability, cost and performance.
• Write and maintain Terraform modules and manage environments and state.
• Develop and enforce CircleCI pipelines with security and quality controls.
• Operate production Kubernetes platforms with Argo CD, Helm, and related tooling.
• Improve metrics, logs, dashboards and alerts; lead root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Protect and test backup, resilience and disaster-recovery processes.
