Job summary

Orbis Group in the United Kingdom seeks a senior engineer to be the right hand to the Head of Global Support at a leading hedge fund. You will own escalations, VIP support, major incidents and projects that move the platform forward, working alongside developers, network and systems engineers.

The scope extends beyond London to UK-wide rollouts and potential overseas offices. There are no direct reports; you gain trust, visibility and a seat at the table, a true first step into leadership.

Qualifications

• Senior desktop or deskside experience in a hedge fund, trading or FS environment.
• Genuine white-glove support for traders and VIPs.
• Strong technical depth in Windows, M365, Intune/Entra and Bloomberg.

Responsibilities

• Own escalations, VIP support, major incidents and platform projects.
• Lead rollouts across the UK and coordinate with offices overseas.
• Act as right hand to Head of Global Support with no direct reports.
