Job summary

Avove is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large design project or a portfolio, steering programmes from feasibility through detailed design to construction support. You’ll manage multidisciplinary design teams, build strong client relationships and oversee project risks and performance.

This hybrid Brighouse-based role offers 40 hours per week with salary £60,000-£80,000 depending on experience, plus a company car or car allowance, bonus scheme, enhanced annual leave,

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering, infrastructure, utilities or construction projects through the design lifecycle.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing programmes, budgets, resources and project controls.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and project teams.
• Experience identifying and managing project risks, technical challenges and delivery issues.
• Understanding of project governance, quality assurance, CDM Regulations and design management.
• A proactive, solutions-focused leadership style, with the ability to develop and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of multidisciplinary engineering design projects and programmes, from feasibility and definition through to detailed design and construction support.
• Work closely with Design Leads and discipline leads to ensure designs are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client requirements and standards.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, resources and forecasts against milestones and targets.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, process, structural and other engineering disciplines.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Lead planning, design reviews, progress meetings and workshops with clear actions.
• Identify and mitigate design, programme, commercial and delivery risks to maintain performance.
• Manage scope and change, ensuring impacts are understood and managed.
• Monitor progress to meet quality, safety, programme and contractual requirements.
• Oversee interfaces and dependencies between disciplines and external organisations.
• Ensure compliance with management systems and CDM requirements.
• Support fee estimates, proposals and delivery strategies for opportunities.
• Promote innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement.
• Mentor Project Managers and junior staff, developing future design leaders.
• Contribute to resource planning and strategic delivery discussions.
