Simply Recruitment Group seeks a Senior Project Engineer in Chorley for a permanent or long-term contract. Hybrid working is available, with a salary circa £55,000–£65,000 per year plus benefits including pension and healthcare.

The role delivers engineering projects from planning through to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence and quality standards, with daily interaction across multiple disciplines and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' relevant project engineering experience in an engineering environment.
• Experience managing project scope, cost, programme and resources.
• Strong planning, budgeting, forecasting and variance control.
• Experience with risk and opportunity management.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and engineering procedures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Commercial awareness and experience with contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver engineering projects to defined scope, programme, cost and quality.
• Develop programmes, budgets and resource plans.
• Monitor performance, risks, opportunities and delays.
• Coordinate resources across disciplines and report progress.
• Engage in client meetings and internal reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement.
