Talk Recruitment is seeking a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager for North West regional projects with a leading Tier 1 building contractor. The role covers preconstruction and construction stages, coordinating design with development and delivery teams.

You will manage consultants and specialist sub-contractors, identify design solutions, and help secure new work while maintaining high standards of design excellence and risk management.

Qualifications

• Role requires management of design across multiple sectors during preconstruction and construction stages.
• Experience in managing design processes, identifying design solutions, design risks and opportunities to support pipeline delivery and new work.
• Responsible for all design activities with development and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage consultants and specialist sub-contractors with commercial teams to negotiate appointments.
• Oversee design production, monitor design appraisal reviews, and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate design activities with development and delivery teams to ensure seamless handover.
