Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Senior Design Coordinator to support the Energy on the Electricity Transmission Project in Cardiff. The role focuses on leading design coordination, reviewing submissions, and managing interfaces with designers, consultants, and suppliers.

You will monitor progress, ensure constructability considerations, and work with CAD/BIM tools to maintain quality and timing across the project team. A strong background in EPC design is expected.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in civil engineering, construction or similar.
• Professional membership of an Engineering Institution or evidence of progression towards.
• Engineering design experience on Power T&D, renewables or EPC projects.
• Exposure to design management/coordination and construction experience.
• Proficient with Autodesk suite: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions for quality and sufficiency as directed.
• Lead design engineering matters on small/medium projects.
• Coordinate design through internal teams, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ensure proper use of Aconex or client CDE systems by all stakeholders.
• Monitor design progress against the project programme.
• Oversee constructability and temporary works considerations.
