Job summary

XPS Group is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead a Defined Benefit pensions administration team within a hybrid Reading-based role. You will manage a portfolio of clients, deliver expert pensions services and contribute to business improvements and growth initiatives.

You will collaborate with Deputy Managers, drive service quality, governance and client satisfaction while developing team capabilities and performance in a dynamic pensions environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Defined Benefit pensions administration across schemes.
• Experience leading pension administration teams and client relationships.
• Understanding of pensions legislation and regulatory changes.
• Proven leadership, coaching and recruitment experience.
• Experience delivering pensions projects to timescales.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of high-quality Defined Benefit pensions administration across assigned portfolio.
• Oversee client relationships with trustees and corporate clients; participate in meetings as needed.
• Identify opportunities to generate additional income from existing portfolio.
• Provide expert pensions advice and solutions; stay updated on regulations.
• Manage annual/ad-hoc projects (renewals, benefit statements, increases).
• Review work of junior team members and approve correspondence.
